Hardware comparison / GPU versus GPU
H100 SXM vs B200
The B200 is NVIDIA’s Blackwell generation, with more than twice the memory of an H100 SXM per GPU. Compare complete configuration prices against the work each one finishes for you: a higher hourly rate is not automatically a higher cost per job.
Understand the hardware trade-offs before comparing provider configurations. This page compares GPU models, not cloud SKUs or availability.
What the hardware records show
- H100 SXM uses the Hopper architecture; B200 uses Blackwell.
- Both are SXM GPUs.
- B200 has 100 GB more memory per GPU (180 GB against 80 GB), 2.3× as much.
- B200 has 2.4× the theoretical memory bandwidth (8,000 against 3,350 GB/s).

It does not by itself prove a lower monthly cost, higher tokens per second or a better result. Include model memory, context, batch size and measured performance in your decision.
